Lest the Meaning of the Cross be made void, Christ’s body remains on it in the Catholic Church.
1Corinthians 1:17 so that the cross of Christ might not be emptied of it’s meaning.

Numbers 21:7- 9 Moses prayed for the people, The Lord said, Make a saraph and mount it on a pole, and if anyone who has been bitten looks at it, he will recover. Moses made a bronze serpent and mounted it on a pole, and whenever anyone who had been bitten by a serpent looked at the bronze serpent, he recovered. (objects may be used as an aid to prayer, meditation and contemplation, and healing purposes, God can’t be limited). Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
