Secret Cabbage Roll Recipe

SECRET CABBAGE ROLL RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 Sour Cabbage
1 Regular Cabbage
1 lb Lean Ground Beef
½ lb Ground Pork
1 Diced Medium Onion
2 tsp. Caraway Seed
1 Large Can of Tomato Juice
¾ Cup of Rice
Salt and Pepper
Medium Sized Roasting Pan
(Freeze the head of regular cabbage prior to starting of cabbage rolls. This is to wilt the leaves, the sour cabbage is already wilted and ready to go).
Take frozen cabbage out of freezer, and thaw, wash with water and leave in a bowl. Take sour cabbage out of package and drain off excess liquid, put in bowl. Put ground meats in a bowl, add the diced onion, caraway seed, rice, and sprinkle some salt and pepper on top, with hands kneed ingredients together thoroughly.
Lay a bed of cabbage leafs in bottom and up sides of roasting pan, this is to prevent rolls from being burnt and sticking to roaster.
Take one regular cabbage leaf and put a meat mixture of about 1" by 3" on the leaf and roll in cabbage, alternate one regular cabbage leaf roll, then one sour cabbage leaf roll, lay them in the roaster as you are rolling them, after you have one layer in pan sprinkle some salt and pepper on them, and then pour some tomato juice on top of them, continue to roll the meat mixture in leaves and putting them into roaster pan and every layer add salt and pepper and tomato juice until the meat mixture is used up. (Of course if you want more double the recipe, if you want less half the recipe, you get the picture). Pour any left over tomato juice on top of rolls, and then cover last layer with left over cabbage leafs, at least have one or two leafs covering.
Cover with roasting pan lid, put in oven pre-heated to 325 degrees, for 3 hours.
Remove from oven and serve, they are very good reheated, and seem to even taste better the next day or two for left-overs.
